The Asejire Reservoir is a reservoir in the Nigerian state of Osun .
geography
The lake, about four kilometers wide and 13 kilometers long, is fed by the rivers Osun and Oba and dammed by a dam. The Osun leaves the lake again. Whereas in 1972 an area of 23.69 km² was given, the lake today has an area of 15.40 km².
To the east of the lake is the town of Ikire , about six kilometers away , with a population of about 200,000. To the northwest, twelve kilometers away, is Lapupon and 26 kilometers to the west is the city of Ibadan with three and a half million inhabitants.
