Aslockton Castle

Aslockton Castle is a ruined castle in the village Aslockton in the English county of Nottinghamshire .

A moth was erected in the 12th century. Only earthworks of it are still preserved today. The mound is called Cranmer's Mound and is about 4.8 meters high. To the southeast of it are two rectangular platforms that are fenced in with trenches. Later houses of the Cranmer family stood there . Archbishop Thomas Cranmer was born here.
