Assi Levy ( Hebrew אסי לוי; * September 28, 1969 in Tel Aviv-Jaffa , Israel ) is an Israeli actress .

Life

Assi Levy studied acting at the renowned Yoram Levinstein School of Acting in her hometown . She then played theater and made her screen debut in the drama Shiv'a , which appeared in 1995 and directed by Dina Zvi-Riklis , opposite Yael Hadar and Israel Damidov . For her portrayal of Nelly in Jonathan Sagall's drama Kesher Ir , she won the Israeli Ophir Award for Best Supporting Actress for the first time . A second award for Best Actress followed in 2006 for her portrayal of Aviva Cohen in Shemi Zarhin's drama Aviva Ahuvati . Levy became internationally known for her leading role in Raphaël Nadjari's drama The Throw the First Stone . For the presentation of Michale it was at the presentation of the European Film Awards 2004 as Best Actress nomination.

From 2000 to 2006 Levy was married to Yaniv Kaufman, with whom they have two children. She is currently in a relationship with the Israeli dancer Tamar Shelef.
