Association mondiale des radiodiffuseurs communautaires
The Association mondiale des radiodiffuseurs communautaires (AMARC) is a non-governmental organization of international community radio stations ( non-commercial radio stations ). Founded in 1983 and based in Montreal, the association has around 3,000 members in 110 countries. AMARC is a member of IFEX and has an International Secretariat and five regional offices: Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, North America and Asia.
Its members entitled to vote include several national or regional associations of community radio stations and in particular, but not exclusively: Bundesverband Freier Radios (BFR), Association des Radiodiffuseurs Communautaires du Burkina, Association ses Radiodiffuseurs Communautaires Du Québec, Alliance des radios communautaires du Canada, Syndicat National des Radios Libres de France (SNRL) and Association Of Non-governmental Radios In Russia.
