description

An Assyrian pointed helmet is usually made of bronze . It has a conical shape that tapers to a point. Six holes were made on the edges, which were used to attach cheek flaps or chin straps. Some versions are decorated with patterns and symbols on the front. There are helmets of this type where the cheek flaps are attached with hinges.
