Asteia concinna is a fly from the family of fine flies (Asteiidae).

features

The flies reach a body length of 2.0 to 2.5 millimeters. They have a slender body with elongated wings. The thorax , legs and abdomen are light yellow, the mesonotum is black. The head is dark brown on top and yellow below. The face lacks a white horizontal stripe underneath, but has a pair of black dots in front of the mouth. The antenna bristle (arista) is long and not very branched. The wings have no alula and cross vein Tp, the vein M3 + 4 runs straight.

Occurrence and way of life

The animals come from Western Europe to East Asia. You can find the animals in summer on sandy dry grass .
