Astrid Herbold

Astrid Herbold (* 1973 in Stolberg ) is a German journalist and author .

Life

Herbold studied from 1992 to 1996 at the Ruhr University in Bochum and then did his doctorate in German at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . In 2004 her dissertation was published under the title sucked in & pressed out. Writing of the body and embodiment of writing .

In 2006 she published the book MoM - Mother Without a Man . Herbold describes her experiences as a single mother. Her book Das große Rauschen , published in 2009, deals critically with the digital society . In 2015, together with the Berlin artist and environmental activist Ben Wagin, she published his autobiography Don't call me artist .

In addition to her book publications, Herbold writes for newspapers and magazines.
