Astrit Rabinowitsch (born February 15, 1953 in Wiesenburg , Belzig district , GDR ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ).

Life path

Rabinowitsch is an art and German teacher. From 1993 to 2004 she was and since 2016 she has been chairwoman of the party in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district . She was a member of the district council, where she was chairman of the social committee. She was also a member of the presidium of the district council.

From 2005 to 2007 she was a member of the Federal Party Council. In the election of the Brandenburg State Parliament in 2009, she reached second place in constituency 18 behind Günter Baaske (SPD) with 24.2 percent of the first votes and did not move into the state parliament. Only when Kornelia Wehlan resigned her mandate and the first successor Gerald Klier could not take up his mandate, Rabinowitsch moved up to parliament.

Rabinowitsch is married, has 3 daughters and lives in Wiesenburg.
