Stig Rasch (born July 4, 1967 in Elverum , Norway ) is a former Norwegian handball player .
The 1.98 tall half-left backcourt player played for his hometown club Elverum Håndball until he was 29 , with whom he won the Norwegian championship in 1995. It was not until 1996 that he moved to Switzerland to the Grasshopper Club Zurich . After only one year, he joined the German Bundesliga club LTV Wuppertal for the next three years . In the 2000/2001 season he played for SG Solingen , but left the club after the main sponsor withdrew for SG Willstätt-Schutterwald . After a total of six years in the Bundesliga and exactly 1000 goals, he returned to Elverum in 2003, which had meanwhile been relegated to the second-highest division. In 2005, Rasch celebrated its return to first class with Elverum. After the 2006/07 season, Rasch ended his career.
With the Norwegian national team , the 81-time international took part in the 2000 European Championship in Croatia and scored 13 goals in four games.
Rasch is a trained plumber, married to Nicole and has a daughter.
