Astrojax

Astrojax is a solo skill game invented by the American physicist Larry Shaw.

handling

It consists of three plastic balls on a string, the middle one being freely movable. With the Astrojax AQUA variant , the two outer balls can also slide over the cord. By carefully pulling the ends, the balls can be made to dance artfully .

distribution

The fast spins of the balls are based on the physical laws of rotational dynamics . Discovered by chance during research on chaos theory, it is now often seen at conventions and in juggling shops. In July 2002, the astronauts of the International Space Station played with Astrojax and gave answers in a live broadcast to pupils' questions as to whether the game would also work in space.
