Asunder is a free CD ripper for digitally reading out audio CDs (“ ripping ” or more specifically DAE ) for Unix-like operating systems. GTK + is used for graphic representation .

history

Asunder was first released in January 2005. After that, development was temporarily stopped until it was resumed in the summer of 2007. Asunder is released under the GNU General Public License .

Functions

  • Asunder can save audio files in WAV , MP3 , Ogg Vorbis , FLAC , Opus , WavPack , Musepack , AAC and Monkey's Audio formats.
  • CD track information can be queried via the CDDB protocol (the standard setting that can be changed is freedb.org )
  • It can M3U -Playlists be created.
  • It can be exported in several formats at the same time.
  • Simultaneous ripping and encoding.
