Assyrian Democratic Organization (abbreviation ADO ; Syrian-Aramaic ܡܛܟܣܬܐ ܐܬܘܪܝܬܐ ܕܝܡܩܪܛܝܬܐ; Arabic المنظمة الديمقراطية الآشورية), also known as Mtakasto , is an Assyrian organization based in Syria as well as in Europe .

The Syrian government banned the party from political life in Syria and severely restricted its activities.

The party was founded in 1957 and its ideology is the protection and maintenance of the interests and minority rights of the Assyrian people . The founding of the Assyrian Democratic Organization in Syria was, according to the company's own statements, the culmination of the establishment of the Assyrian national movement across denominations among Syrian Christians in Mesopotamia .

The Assyrian Democratic Organization is established as a national, political and democratic movement, the aim of which is to ensure the existence of the Assyrian people and the realization of their legitimate national aspirations (political, cultural and administrative) in their historical homeland.
