Atanas Usunow (also spelled Atanas Uzunov , Bulgarian Атанас Узунов ; * 1857 in Russe ; † February 22, 1887 ibid) was a Bulgarian freedom fighter and officer who led the Bulgarian defense at Vidin in the Serbian-Bulgarian War (1886). He also took part in the Serbian-Turkish War in 1876 ​​and in the Russo-Ottoman War (1877–1878).

In 1887 he took part in a pro-Russian coup . The coup failed however, Usunow was with seven other colleagues, including Olimpij Panov , sentenced to death and near the town of Russe executed .
