Ataturk Cup

The Turkish Football Association has held four football tournaments for the Ataturk Cup in Ataturk's honor .

• The first tournament took place in 1955. The participants were the five best teams in Turkey at the time ( Fenerbahçe , Galatasaray , Beşiktaş , Adalet and Vefa). Adalet was the winner, Fenerbahçe second.

• Fenerbahçe won the second Ataturk Cup on September 9, 1963 with two 3-1 victories against Beşiktaş and Galatasaray.

• 35 years later, on November 10, 1998, the 60th anniversary of Ataturk's death, the tournament was held a third time. Fenerbahçe won the final against Beşiktaş 2-0.

• The last tournament on November 1, 2000, Beşiktaş won 2-1 in the final against Galatasaray.
