Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris

The Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris is a one-year postgraduate training with a focus on production , financing , sales and material development .

La Fémis

It is carried out jointly by the film academies Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg , Ludwigsburg , and La Fémis , Paris and in cooperation with the National Film and Television School , London , and was created under the patronage of the Franco-German Film Academy . The program directors are Roman Paul and Gerhard Meixner on the German side and Christine Ghazarian on the French side.

Each year a series of short films is produced in coproduction with ARTE and SWR , the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy and La Fémis. The films are presented at festivals and broadcast on ARTE.

The atelier has existed since September 2001. Every year 18 participants, mainly from Europe, but also worldwide, are selected for the program. The program includes encounters with experts from the industry as well as excursions to important film festivals, particularly to Cannes and the Berlinale . The graduates of the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris are organized in the Atelier Network association.
