Ateliers Lyonnais Ultima is a former French motorcycle manufacturer from Lyon . The company was founded in 1908 and produced until 1958.

Ultima were usually made-up motorcycles with purchased components. Initially, engines from Zurcher , Aubier-Donne and JAP were used before the company developed its own two-stroke engines in the 1930s . Typically these displacements were from 125 to 200 cm³.

An interesting Ultima 500 racing machine with two-cylinder engine and DOHC valve control developed in the late 1940s was abandoned in 1951 without having been used. Production stopped in 1958.

An Ultima EB 1064 from 1922 to 1923 can be seen in the Auto- und Technik-Museum Sinsheim ; an Ultima 500 with cardan drive (possibly the racing machine mentioned) belongs to the collection of the Musée Henri Malartre in Rochetaillée-sur-Saône, France .
