Athinaiko Praktorio Idiseon - Makedoniko Praktorio Idiseon ( Greek Αθηναϊκό Πρακτορείο Ειδήσεων - Μακεδονικό Πρακτορείο Ειδήσεων , ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ, Athens News Agency-Macedonian Press Agency, ANA-MPA , to German "Athenian-Macedonian News Agency") is a state news agency in Greece . The agency was founded on December 9, 2008. By decree of the Greek President Karolos Papoulias , the two existing news services, Athinaiko Praktorio Idiseon (Athens News Agency) and Makedoniko Praktorio Idiseon (Macedonian Press Agency) were merged.

Since then, ANA-MPA has been delivering news, press photos, video and radio reports. There are correspondent offices in Brussels, Istanbul, Nicosia and Berlin, as well as correspondents in London, Vienna, Rome, Paris, Skopje, Washington, New York, Melbourne, Montreal, Tirana, Sofia, Ankara, Belgrade and all major Greek cities. ANA-MPA is a member of the European Alliance of News Agencies .

International intelligence services use the ANA-MPA offer on a daily basis. These are Thomson Reuters , Associated Press , Agence France-Presse , Deutsche Presse-Agentur , EFE , Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata and global information companies such as Bloomberg LP and Financial Times .

The company has a Board of Directors of nine members, the majority (five members) of which are representatives of the Athens Union of Journalists, Esiea (ΕΣΗΕΑ) newspapers and the Macedonia-Thrace Journalists' Union together Esiem-Th (ΕΣΗΕΜ – Θ).
