The European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA) is an association of news agencies in Europe . The organization was founded on August 21, 1956 and is based in Bern at the Swiss Dispatch Agency (sda). EANA consists of 32 members (2015). Its predecessor was Group 39 .

The German Press Agency (dpa) is the authoritative member for Germany . Clive Marshall , CEO of the British Press Association (PA), has been President of EANA since September 26, 2014 .
