Athis (Essonne)

Athis is a district of the French commune Athis-Mons in the Essonne department in the Île-de-France region .

history

The place is first handed down as Athegiam in the 9th century .

The municipality of Athis-Mons was created on August 6, 1817 through the merger of Athis and Mons-sur-Orge .
