Athletics is the name of a German trade magazine for weight lifting , weight training and fitness .
The official name is "Athletik - magazine for weightlifting, weight training, fitness u. Health". It is the oldest weight training newspaper in the world and is published monthly. It is the official publication organ of the Federal Association of German Weightlifters (BVDG). Every club in the BVDG is obliged to purchase two copies for 2 euros. Official announcements of the association and reports about the respective sports are printed.
