The Atlantic Speditions AG (. Engl market presence Atlantic Forwarding Group ), based in Schlieren is an internationally active Swiss freight forwarding - and logistics companies , in particular, to the freight forwarding business between Asia and Europe is specialized. history

Atlantic was founded in 1979 by Theodor Ernst. Due to his experience in the field of overseas transports, he relied on Asia as a new emerging market and opened subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea in the same year. In the second half of the 1980s, under the management of Oliver Ernst, the former partners in Japan and Thailand were taken over and converted into Atlantic subsidiaries. In the 1990s, the company opened up the Southeast Asian region and established branches in Singapore , Indonesia , Vietnam and Malaysia . At the same time, Atlantic opened branches in Shanghai and Shenzhen in China, which were followed by others in Qingdao, Dalian, Xiamen and Beijing by 1997 and another in Ningbo in 2001. At the beginning of 2009, further branches were added in Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi (India).
