Atsuo Nakamura ( Japanese 中 村 敦夫 , Nakamura Atsuo ; born February 18, 1940 in Tokyo , Tokyo Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese actor and politician .

He became known for his leading role in the Sino-Japanese television series The Rebels from Liang Shan Po , produced in the 1970s and broadcast on German television for the first time in 1980. Under John Frankenheimer , he shot the American-Japanese action film The Challenge with Scott Glenn and Toshirō Mifune in 1982 , which was released in Germany in 1983 under the title If he wants to go to hell, let him go .

Politician

As chairman of the Sakigake successor Midori no Kaigi (“Green Conference”), Nakamura was a member of the upper house for Tokyo from 1998 to 2004 .
