The Attic Entertainment Software GmbH ( ger .: attic "loft") was a German computer game developer and publisher , who in September 1990 by Hans-Jürgen Brändle , Jochen Hamma and Guido Henkel (formerly Dragon goods ) in Albstadt was founded.
Attic became known among other things through the computer game series Das Schwarze Auge: Die Nordland-Trilogie , based on the pen and paper role-playing game Das Schwarze Auge, which is popular in German-speaking countries . After the development of a successor to the Nordland trilogy under the title Legends of the Magic Wars was delayed, this project was finally discontinued at a very advanced stage. Contrary to rumors to the contrary, Attic was not dissolved as a company.
Jochen Hamma is now the managing partner of Fantastic Realms Interactive GmbH , acts as a consultant for the German computer games industry and is considered to be the co-founder of the IGDA chapter in Frankfurt am Main. Hamma is now the sole copyright owner of all Attic published games. Henkel has lived in the USA since Attic was closed and is Managing Partner of G3 Studios , a US game developer for mobile games . Hans-Jürgen Brändle died on May 12, 2005 in Las Vegas .
