Attlebridge is a village and civil parish in Norfolk . It is about eight miles northwest of Norwich , where the A1067 crosses the River Wensum .

The village and is spread over an area of about 5.27 square kilometers lt. Census of 2001 the population was 122, which was distributed to 50 households. Attlebridge is located in the District Broadland .

The village was named after the bishop Ætla and a nearby bridge that he is said to have helped to build. Between the 1880s and 1950s, the parish had its own train station called Attlebridge Railway Station , which provided direct connection for trains between Norwich and Kings Lynn . For cost reasons, however, the station was closed by British Rail .

During the Second World War , a nearby airfield called RAF Attlebridge was used by the Allies.
