Broadland is a district in Norfolk , England , named after the Norfolk Broads . The administrative seat is Thorpe St Andrew ; other places are Acle , Alderford , Aylsham , Blofield , Brundall , Hellesdon , Hevingham , Horsford , Reepham , Salhouse , Sprowston , Taverham and Wroxham .

The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and was formed from the merger of the Rural District St. Faiths and Aylsham and part of the Rural District Blofield and Flegg and consists of 65 parishes.
