Great Yarmouth is an administrative district with borough status in the county of Norfolk in England . It is named after the Great Yarmouth administrative center ; other significant places are Gorleston-on-Sea , Belton with Browston , Bradwell and Caister-on-Sea .
The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and arose from the merger of the County Borough of Great Yarmouth and parts of the Rural Districts Blofield and Flegg and Lothingland.
