Audun Øfsti

Audun Øfsti (born August 31, 1938 ) is a Norwegian philosopher whose main subjects include philosophy of science , transcendental pragmatics and practical philosophy . He became known in particular for his work on Ludwig Wittgenstein 's late philosophy .

biography

Øfsti studied philosophy, mathematics and physics at the University of Oslo and, as an Alexander von Humboldt scholar, did research at the University of Saarbrücken with his most important teacher, Karl-Otto Apel . As a result, various projects and visiting professorships took him to Germany again and again, for example in 1992 he was visiting professor at the University of Frankfurt and in 1997 at the University of Aachen.

Øfsti is currently working as a professor of philosophy at the Technical and Scientific University of Norway (NTNU) in Trondheim .
