Resurrection Church (Böckingen)
The Resurrection Church at Sonnenbergstraße 19 in the Heilbronn district of Böckingen is the church of the Evangelical Resurrection Church Community of Böckingen within the overall parish of Böckingen in the Heilbronn church district . It had already been planned for the Sonnenberg in the 1930s, but was not built until the end of the 1950s and inaugurated on May 3, 1959.

The first plans for the construction of a Protestant church on the Sonnenberg go back to 1937, but could not initially be implemented due to a building ban on the Sonnenberg that was arbitrarily imposed by the Mayor of Heilbronn, Heinrich Valid . In the spring of 1939, the church council decided to build an emergency church for the approximately 4,500 parishioners of District III of the Böckingen parish, but this decision was also ineffective. In 1943 the name of the future church to be built was determined as the Church of the Resurrection . In 1949, Prof. Hans Seytter from Stuttgart received a planning order for a church building with 600 seats.
The foundation stone was laid in April 1958 and the inauguration took place on May 3, 1959. Wolf-Dieter Kohler from Stuttgart designed the window frieze, Karl Hemmeter from Munich created the crucifix above the altar. A Weigle organ from 1964 completes the inventory. In 1969 the church received the baptismal, cross, drawing and baptismal bells, four bronze bells with the tone sequence e'– f sharp' – a'– h 'corresponding to the beginning of Christ is erupt , a chorale.
The last major renovation of the church took place in 2003. In particular, the sanitary facilities were modernized, and the church received a kitchen and an elevator system.
