The Church of the Resurrection is an Evangelical Lutheran church building in the Hamburg district of Marmstorf . While the attached rectory was completed in 1957, construction of the church began on March 16, 1958 with the laying of the foundation stone according to plans by the architects Schmidt + Kraul. Regional Bishop Hanns Lilje inaugurated the church on Eternity Sunday 1959 . An organ was installed five years later. The parish hall has existed at the Marmstorfer shopping center since 1974, and is a good 500 meters away from the church building.

The first pastor was Friedrich Kunst (1959–1963), who had held a pastor's position in the Sinstorf mother parish since 1953 . He was followed by Udo-Volkmar Brederecke (1964–1975), Jürgen Temme (1967–1973), Jürgen Wiechert (1974–1976), Bernd Feise (1975–1982), Wolfgang Lenk (1977–1992), Olav Hanssen (1983–2001) ), Peter Kanehls (1992–1997), Barbara Schnoor (1997–2012) and Thomas von der Weppen (since 2001).
