The Aug. Laukhuff GmbH & Co. KG , based in Weikersheim is the world's largest supplier of Organ parts .

history

The company founder Martin Andreas Laukhuff learned from the organ builder Johann Eberhard Walcker , then worked with his son Eberhard Friedrich Walcker and finally founded his own organ building workshop in 1823. His three sons August, Andreas and Adolf Laukhuff continued to run the business, with August specializing in organ parts, Andreas the commercial and Adolf the artistic side. In the 19th century it was possible to establish international business connections. Andreas Laukhuff cataloged and standardized all the necessary parts of an organ, whereupon he was awarded the title of Kommerzienrat . The catalog published by Laukhuff is still the standard in organ building today.

Otto and Wilhelm Laukhuff , sons of Andreas Laukhuff, managed to rebuild the company that was destroyed in 1945. Otto and Wilhelm Laukhuff's sons, Hans-Erich († 2012) and Peter, ran the company until 2011.

2012–2017 Magnus Windelen took over the management of Aug. Laukhuff GmbH & Co. KG. - The nephews of Hans-Erich and Peter Laukhuff, Tobias Schröter and Alexander Laukhuff, have been running the family business since October 2017.
