August Christian Brill
August Christian Brill (born October 15, 1879 in Munich , † December 14, 1964 in Oberursel ) was a German mechanical engineer.
Life
Brill was the son of the mathematician Alexander von Brill and his wife Anna Schleiermacher. He studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich with a diploma in 1902. In 1902 he went to the United States of America as a civil engineer to Peabody to the mechanical engineering company (leather processing) Turner and later to Leeds in England. In 1904 he returned to Frankfurt am Main and was director of the Turner branch in Oberursel near Frankfurt from 1910 until his retirement.
From 1937 to 1945 he had a teaching position for tannery machines at the TH Darmstadt.
