August Gabel (born February 2, 1908 in Sarstedt ; † unknown) was a German politician ( CDU ) and a member of the appointed Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After finishing school, Gabel began an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman and later took three semesters of evening classes at the mechanical engineering school. From 1927 to 1930 he made further training as a technician. He took his final exam in the evening department of the municipal mechanical engineering school in Hanover and then worked as a technical calculator. During the Second World War it was indispensable. He was an active member of church associations and was close to the Center Party.

He was married and had four children.

On December 13, 1945, the first meeting of a new local council took place in Sarstedt, where he was elected chairman of the local council. He was a member of the appointed Hanover State Parliament from August 23, 1946 to October 29, 1946.
