The Augusta Technologie Aktiengesellschaft , based in Munich, is a former listed technology company with a focus on the niche markets of digital image processing and optical sensors.

The company was founded in 1991 as "Augusta Beteiligungs-Aktiengesellschaft" in Frankfurt am Main . On May 5, 1998, the company went public on the Neuer Markt . Augusta was listed in the General Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

In the field of industrial image processing, Augusta is one of the world's leading providers, and in pressure and flow sensors for medical technology, the company is number one in Europe with a market share of 10–12 percent. 61 percent of sales are generated abroad, the majority in Europe. The subsidiary “Allied Vision Technologies GmbH” is the world market leader for industrially used cameras with FireWire interfaces with a market share of around 15 percent.

After a successful takeover offer by the Dutch TKH Group, the remaining minority shareholders were excluded on March 16, 2015. The listing of Augusta Technologie AG ended on that day.

In the 2013 financial year, the company achieved consolidated sales of EUR 108.9 million and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of EUR 21.0 million.

Products

In the core VISION segment, digital cameras with CCD / CMOS sensors, infrared cameras for thermal imaging and day / night vision, as well as X-ray and high-speed cameras are offered. The company offers 3D sensors for measurements in the micrometer range. They are used in classic industrial inspection and automation (for example in the automotive or mechanical and plant engineering sectors), in medical technology, science, infrastructure and energy, transport technology and in security and defense.

In the Other Business Areas segment, the company supplies mobile measurement systems for test and measurement applications for use in the automotive industry, energy and network analysis, aerospace, transport and general test and measurement technology. In the field of power electronics, the company offers electronics development and electronic manufacturing services for complete devices and systems through to series production of electronic assemblies, such as B. temperature sensors, mechatronics for applications in the automotive sector and sensors for medical electronics.
