Auguste Dumont (journalist)
Auguste Dumont (* 1816 in Paris ; † May 1885 ibid) was a French journalist and newspaper editor.
Dumont was a student of the Lycées Saint-Louis and Louis le Grand and trained as a lawyer. At the age of twenty he made his journalistic debut in the newspaper Le Propagateur published by his father-in-law, the printing entrepreneur Théodore Boulé. Subsequently, Dumont headed the following media, among others:
