Auguste Stourm

Auguste Stourm ( Dominique Augustin African Stourm , born July 20, 1797 in Metz , † December 9, 1865 in Paris ) was a French politician.

Life

Stourm set up as a lawyer in 1819. From 1837 to 1849 he was a member of the Aube department . From 1853 to 1861 he was General Director of the French Post Office with the rank of Council of State ( conseiller d'Etat ). In 1861 he was replaced by Édouard Vandal and became senator of the Aube department. He was awarded the Grand-croix de la Légion d'Honneur .

Storm's son René Stourm (1837-1917) also embarked on a political career and became Inspecteur des finances .
