Augustine Nguyen Hoa
Nguyen Lac Hoa (* 1908 as Augustine Nguyen Lac Hoa ; † 1989 ) was a Chinese Catholic pastor who had fled to Vietnam . In the Vietnam War he headed a military unit.
life and work
Nguyen Lac Hoa had fled to Vietnam from China before the Communists came to power. He developed into an anti-communist . Nguyen Lac Hoa became known as the leader of an anti-communist unit in the Cà Mau region, called Sea Swallows (Eng. Terns ). Various well-known reporters such as Edward Lansdale , Dickey Chapelle and Stan Atkinson covered him in various newspapers. The then President of the USA John F. Kennedy is said to have spoken out in favor of a broad publication of the story of Nguyen Lac Hoa.
Awards
Nguyen Hoa Lac was in 1964 with the so-called Asian Nobel Peace Prize the Ramon Magsaysay Award excellent.
