Aurelius Elpidephorus (his praenomen is not known) was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 3rd century AD .

Two military diplomas prove that Elpidephorus was prefect of the Roman fleet ( classis praetoria Antoniniana Ravennas ) stationed in Ravenna in 221 . An inscription indicates that he was procurator in the province of Achaea .
