The Austin Peak is a mountain summit in the east-central part of the Mirabito Range of the Concord Mountains in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land .
Participants in the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition (1963-1964) named him after the American engineer William T. Austin (1927-2003), representative of the United States Antarctic Program at McMurdo Station from 1963 to 1964, who at that time organized support for New Zealand field research teams.
