The Austin Rocks are a group of Antarctic reef rocks . They extend over a length of 5 km in a northeast-southwest orientation in the Bransfield Strait at a distance of 21 km northwest of the west coast of the Trinity Peninsula .
They were mapped during the expedition with the sloop Chanticleer under Commander Henry Foster, which lasted from 1828 to 1831 . It is named after Horatio Thomas Austin (1801–1865), an officer on this research expedition.
