The Association of Cooperative Research Institutions of the Austrian Economy - AUSTRIAN COOPERATIVE RESEARCH (abbreviation ACR) is an Austrian research network whose primary goal is to improve the competitiveness of domestic SMEs with innovations. The seat of the association is Vienna in the House of Research (1090 Vienna). In 2013, the ACR network generated total sales of 56.2 million euros.

Members are non-university research institutes. As innovation companions and research experts for SMEs, the 19 ACR institutes offer business-related R&D services, technology transfer, funding advice and high-quality testing and measuring. The ACR also forms the link to international institutions such as EARTO

The association was founded in 1954 as an association of the cooperative research institutes of the commercial economy in Austria . In 1980 the association changed its name to the Association of Cooperative Research Institutes of the Austrian Economy (VKF). In 1992 the association was given its current name.
