Austru

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Austru (from Latin oyster , 'south wind') is a warm, dry land wind in Romania . It blows like a hairdryer from a south-westerly direction. In summer the Austru is warm and dry. If it blows for several days in winter, the humidity drops below 40% and ensures a cloud-free sky. By radiating the heat, it causes cold and frost. The Austru blows around 80 days a year in Bucharest and is therefore less frequent than the cold Crivet .
