Autódromo Roberto José Mouras is a permanent motorsport racing circuit in Partido La Plata in the Province of Buenos Aires , Argentina .

history

The circuit was opened on October 20, 1996 with a touring car race and named after the former Argentine motorsport star Roberto José Mouras , who had a fatal accident in the Vuelta de Lobos race in 1992 . Emilio Satriano won the opening race with a Chevrolet Chevy .

Route description

The entire facility currently has a length of 4265 meters with 16 combinations of curves and chicanes that can be used depending on the desired variant. The short version has a length of 2699 meters with 7 curves. The average route width is 12 meters. The longest straight in the area of ​​the pit area and main stand measures around 1,100 meters and can be interrupted by two chicanes. In 2010, Norberto Fontana of the HAZ Racing Team set the lap record of 1'28.057 in the 15th round of the TC-2000 championship.

Events

The national Argentine racing championships are regular guests on the track. The Autódromo Roberto Mouras is the venue for racing events from the Turismo Carretera , TC 2000, Formula Renault 2.0 , TCMouras , GT2000 , Fórmula Metropolitana series and numerous national competitions.
