Aux out
Aux Raus is a Dutch music duo. It was founded in 2004 in Amsterdam by the two art students Bastiaan Bosma and Luuk Bouwman. Their music can be described as a kind of hardcore punk with techno beats . The term "gabber punk" is also often used. Aux Raus' live shows often end with a naked front man.
Career
Singer Bosma and guitarist Bouwman both studied at the St. Joost Art Academy in Breda .
During a stay in Mexico , recordings for a first album were made in the record studio of Carlos Amorales , the then head of the Nuevos Ricos label . Two tours across the country followed.
In January 2007 the band performed at the Noorderslag music festival in Groningen . In the same year appearances at the Festival Lowlands and in Club 3voor12 of the Dutch radio station VPRO followed . In October 2007 the duo played at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York.
In early 2007 Aux Raus released their debut album This Is How This Works on the Amsterdam label Fear Recordings . For this they were awarded the prestigious 3voor12 Award for the best Dutch album in 2007 . In early 2008 they were winners of the Dutch Essent Award .
