Auxillia Mnangagwa (born March 25, 1963 in Mazowe District , Mashonaland Central Province ) is a Zimbabwean politician. She is the third wife of the politician Emmerson Mnangagwa and has been the First Lady of Zimbabwe since he took office in November 2017 .

Life

Mnangagawa grew up on a farm in Chiweshe . After completing her education in 1981, she worked for the Ministry of Labor and Development. In 1982 she began to get involved politically. From 1992 she worked in the Prime Minister's office.

From 1997 she studied in the Department of Environment and Tourism at the University of Zimbabwe . Two years later she went to Switzerland.

In 2009 she became a member of the ZANU-PF Central Committee . In 2015 she was elected to parliament. In 2018, her constituency Chirumanzu-Zibagwe was won by Prosper Machando (also ZANU-PF) after Mnangagwa had withdrawn.
