The Avantha Masters was a professional golf tournament on the European Tour , the Asian Tour and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). It was re-introduced in 2010 and marked the return of the European Tour to India after the Indian Masters were abolished in 2009.
The tournament was initially played at the DLF Golf and Country Club , which also hosted the Johnnie Walker Classic in 2008 . In 2013, Jaypee Greens Golf Club in Greater Noida became the new venue.
On September 5, 2013, the Avantha Group announced that it was withdrawing from sponsoring the tournament. Since no new sponsor was found, the tournament was declared over on all three golf tours.
