AvenirSocial represents the interests of professionals with training in social work , social pedagogy , sociocultural animation , child rearing and socio- pedagogical workshop management at the technical college , higher technical school and university level in Switzerland . The Swiss-wide association was created from the merger of the predecessor associations Swiss Professional Association of Social Work (SBS / ASPAS), the Swiss Professional Association of Social Pedagogues (SBVS) and the Fédération Suisse des travailleurs et travailleuses de l'éducation sociale (FERTES).
target
The aim is to network professionals in social work and to represent and protect their professional, economic and social interests.
The focus is on professional, educational and social policy on a national and international level. In dealing with these issues, the Swiss Executive Board is supported by specialist commissions and specialist groups.
organization
The national association has 13 sections in German and French-speaking Switzerland.
The association is organized in the militia system . In addition to the board, specialist and working groups form the core of the association. The Swiss office in Bern and in some sections the section offices are operationally assisting the committees.
Current projects
In 2008 the association initiated the Pro Social Charter campaign with the aim of promoting the ratification of the revised European Social Charter by Switzerland. The campaign is supported by personalities, NGOs, NPOs and private individuals. In 2017 and 2018 the campaign was "socially educated". The campaign was accompanied by a report that shows that only 50% of those working in the social report have an education (at the level of apprenticeship or studies at HF , FH or university ).
