The Avia Rk-17 is an aircraft engine made by the Czechoslovak manufacturer Avia in 1934. It is the two- cylinder version of the seven-cylinder Rk-12 engine

construction

The Rk-17 is an air-cooled Neunzylinder- four-stroke - radial engine . It consists of steel liners with light metal cylinder heads shrunk on . Each cylinder has two inclined valves. It is controlled by rocker arms and bumpers. The crankshaft is split in two. The Rk-17 has a centrifugal compressor with a ratio of 1: 10.7.
