The Avni Rustemi Square ( Albanian  Sheshi Avni Rustemi ; pronunciation: [ ʃɛˌʃi Avni ˌɾustɛmi ]) is a market and traffic space east of the center of the Albanian capital Tirana , which according to the educators, bombers and politicians Avni Rustemi named (1895-1924) is. Together with surrounding houses, it has been a cultural monument of Albania since 2007.

The road traffic is handled by means of a roundabout. The following six streets (alb. Rruga ) lead to this square (starting clockwise from the northeast): Rruga Hoxha Tahsim , Rruga Tefta Tashko-Koço , Rruga Xhorxhi Martini , Rruga Luigj Gurakuqi , Rruga Shenasi Dishnica and Rruga Shemsi Haka .

To the north of the square, a new food market was opened at the beginning of 1930, the Pazari i ri (New Bazaar) , where fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and other things are still offered today. Some vegetable stalls extended to Avni-Rustemi-Platz - today there are cafes here. Pazari i Ri is also the name of the district around the market. The Ottoman Kokonozi Mosque is located behind the row of buildings in the northeast of the square .

In October 2015, construction work began on the Pazari i ri market and the square. In the course of a renovation, the square was to be given a new name, marked parking spaces and a pedestrian underpass. The market was renewed and freed from traffic, hardly anything changed at Avni-Rustemi-Platz.
