Axel Andreasen
Axel Herman Andreasen (born July 8, 1878 in Copenhagen ; † July 7, 1953 there ) was a Danish advertising artist, lithographer and songwriter.
Life
Axel Andreasen was a son of Peter Andreasen and Maren Jensen. His older brother Carl Andreasen (1867–1946) also became a draftsman and lithographer. Axel Andreasen studied with Sophus Kruckow and Emmery Rondahl and initially worked mainly as an advertising artist . In 1902 he married Rosalie Konstantia Egenia Paulsen. From 1906 to 1922 he worked for the magazine Politiken . In the 1910s in particular, Andreasen created numerous postcards, especially congratulatory and humorous cards. Andreasen was also active as an actor, could be heard on the record Juleaften paa Sydhavet , which was pressed around 1911, and wrote numerous lyrics.
