Axel Beer

Axel Beer (born February 17, 1956 in Fulda ) is a German musicologist . He has been teaching at Mainz University since 1995 .

Career

Beer studied musicology, Latin philology and historical auxiliary sciences at the University of Frankfurt (PhD 1987). From 1987 to 1995 he was assistant and research assistant to Klaus Hortschansky at the University of Münster . In 1995 he was appointed to the chair for musicology at the University of Mainz .
